JOB ROLE: Activities Coordinator
LOCATION: Liverpool (L9)
RATE: £14.69 per hour
HOURS: 37.5 per week
SHIFTS: 08:30AM - 16:30PM (Supporting 3.5 days out of 5)
A full, clean driving licence is also essential as driving of the centre's minibus will be required.
About Walton Resource Centre
The Resource Centre is a lively, busy environment, supporting up to 60 people per day within a variety of activities, including leisure, vocational and citizenship in the community.

The Centre is staffed with a highly skilled and qualified team of professionals. We provide support and encourage independence both onsite and within the community to adults with complex needs, including; learning difficulties, autism and behaviours that are challenging.
As an Activities Coordinator, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including:
- The creation and management and smooth running of fun, interactive and meaningful person-centered activity sessions and events.
- Budget, order and manage the various items of stock.
- Implement and maintain an efficient stock control system.
- Assess the skill mix required to ensure that activity and staff levels reflect the service user’s individual needs.
- Ensure all employment programmes are implemented by the staff team.
- Actively promote the principles of choice, community participation, dignity and respect.
- To provide a diverse range of enabling and support for service users, which promotes inclusivity and assists those people to achieve their potential.
- To assist the Manager in implementing the day service element of individual plans for service users.
- To provide the above in accordance with agreed Company objectives, standards, policies and procedures and in compliance with all relevant legislation.
- To identify and establish suitable opportunities, taking into consideration the principles and philosophies of the Company outcomes and initiating procedures for exercising choice, respect, rights and independence for service users.
- To work alongside the team in devising and monitoring individual outcomes in order to assist people we support in meaningful supported activities / sessions.
- To ensure the safe storage and use of all drugs and medication within the service.
Candidates must have experience in:
- Supervising a team within a social care setting.
- Designing, managing and covering large rotas.
- Leading on the arranging and managing of Person-centered reviews.
- Managing and supervising a designated team of support workers.
