JOB ROLE: Male Support Worker
LOCATION: Lyndale, Hereford (HR1)
SALARY: £12.60 to £13.30* per hour
SHIFT PATTERNS: 07:00-14:00PM, 14:00-21:00PM & 07:00-21:00PM
FULL UK MANUAL DRIVING LICENSE & ACCESS TO A VEHICLE ESSENTIAL.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking Full Time and Part Time Support Workers to join our AMAZING supportive team at Lyndale, Hereford!
About Lyndale:
Welcome to Lyndale, a Hereford-based residential service catering to individuals with Mental Health Needs, Learning Disabilities and Autism. The service accommodates up to 10 adults, delivering personalised support tailored to individual needs.
Based in Hereford, a 5 minute walk from the train station, Lyndale is a really rewarding place to work and aims to encourage independence in all aspects of the individuals' lives.
The individuals we support enjoy a number of activities in the local community including Cinema, trips to the seaside, lunch out, shopping and appointments as and when required.
As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including:
- Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
- Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
- Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
- Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
- Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
- Assisting with personal care as required.
- Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
- Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
Experience within the care sector is not needed as we offer full training, coaching and development
