Male Support Worker - Pathway House (MK44)

JOB ROLE: Support Worker

LOCATION: Wyboston, Bedfordshire (MK44)

SALARY: £13.20 - £13.90* per hour ( This rate is effective as of 1st April - if you start prior to this date, your hourly rate will be £12.60 - £13.60 and will be automatically uplifted on 1st April)

Please note we require a Male Support Worker over the age of 18 due to a genuine occupational requirement for the people we are supporting making this position exempt from the gender discrimination rule.

 

Due to continued growth, we are urgently seeking Full Time Support Workers to join our AMAZING supportive team at Pathway House

At Pathway House we support people with Mental Health needs who may also have a dual diagnosis of Autism or a mild Learning Disability. People we support are supported to understand their diagnosis and develop coping strategies to manage their anxieties, which reduce the frequency and severity of challenging behaviours.

 

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including

  • Prompting service users independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying service users to routine appointments or administrating medication
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping
  • Assisting with personal care (Depending on service user)
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking

Experience within the care sector is not needed as we offer full training, coaching and development
