Mental Health Support Worker - The Lighthouse (TA8)

About The Lighthouse:

At The Lighthouse we support 9 people with Mental Health needs or whom may have a dual diagnosis. We work with people with varied abilities to reach their full potential. We enable people to develop their skills, strengths, and resilience. We help them to develop their own set of resources to self-manage and stay well. We provide people with the right support to assist them in developing coping techniques which can make a noticeable difference in their everyday lives. We understand that everyone is an individual and their needs may vary, but whatever the persons situation or however complex their needs are, we will encourage, support, and motivate them to achieve their optimum level of independence & life goals!

 

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in:

  • Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
  • Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care as required.
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
  • Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.

In return accomplish will support you to further career by gaining new skills and qualifications with sector leading training and coaching, which can lead to a wide variety of progression opportunities.
