About Summer Hill Avenue:
We’re thrilled to introduce Summer Hill Avenue, a brand-new residential care home opened in 2025. Nestled in the heart of Newport, Summerhill Lane will provide high-quality accommodation and support for up to 12 adults with Acquired Brain Injuries and Neurological Conditions. As a new service, we are setting the standard for compassionate, personalized care, and creating an environment where residents can thrive, develop, and lead fulfilling lives.

About the Role
As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in establishing a high standard of care, working alongside a dynamic team to support individuals and their families in every aspect of daily life. Your leadership will help us deliver a compassionate, person-centered approach to support.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Support Worker to take a leadership role at our brand-new service. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day care delivery, supporting and mentoring a team of Support Workers, and ensuring each individual receives personalized care that helps them live independently and comfortably.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including:
- Lead by example, delivering hands-on support to residents and ensuring they receive high-quality care tailored to their individual needs.
- Supervise and mentor a team of Support Workers, providing guidance and support as they carry out their duties.
- Take responsibility for assessing and creating care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with care standards and regulations, maintaining the safety and well-being of everyone in the service.
- Develop and implement activities that support residents’ personal development, independence, and emotional well-being.
- Coordinate care needs, including assisting with healthcare appointments, administering medication, and providing personal care where necessary.
- Maintain effective communication with residents, their families, and healthcare teams to ensure a collaborative approach to care.
