Support Worker - Maidenhead, SL6 - Drivers Only

Package Description

POSITION: Support Worker 

HOURS: 37.5 hours per week

LOCATION: Maidenhead, SL6

PAY RATE: £12.60 - £13.30*

UK License with access to vehicle is necessary!

We are currently looking people to join our team who are committed to meeting the needs of all the people we support, that have a good sense of humour and are friendly towards others. Our specialist Supported Living and Outreach service in Maidenhead, provides support for people with Learning Disabilities. We understand the importance of providing person-centred support that enables independence and meets each individual's needs.

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including:

  • Promoting and delivering a person-centred support culture across the service
  • Supporting people with all aspects of their daily living as per their support plan, this may include personal care and taking their medication
  • Supporting and coaching people to learn independent living skills like cooking and laundry tasks
  • Supporting people to access the community for social, educational or employment opportunities
  • Safeguarding service users’ rights and dignity
  • Taking an active role in peoples support plans and risk assessment’s
  • Provide effective communication within the team and attending regular team & service user meetings
  • To liaise professionally with family members and other professionals.
  • A positive attitude & passionate about supporting adults with learning disabilities
  • Can demonstrate a practical understanding of delivering support with dignity, privacy and respect

The successful candidate must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle
  • Have proven experience working with adults experiencing mental health challenges
  • Be capable of providing support to male clients
  • Demonstrate full flexibility, including availability to work evenings and weekends as required
