JOB ROLE: Support Worker
LOCATION: Oldham, Manchester (OL8)
SALARY: £12.00 - £12.70* per hour
SHIFT PATTERN: 08:30 - 21:00PM
About Boston House:
Boston House provides slow stream Neuro Rehabilitation for 17 adults who have complex needs following a brain injury, you will work in conjunction with a Neuro- Therapy Team assisting the people we support with their ongoing rehabilitation goals
As a Support and Therapy Assistant you will be part of a team who excel in being an active and positive influence encouraging the people we support to work towards a brighter future. Duties will include
- Promoting independence with the people we support and encouraging them to engage in their rehabilitation journey following their Brain Injury.
- Supporting our people to manage their health care needs, including accompanying service users to routine appointments, hospital admissions and administrating medication when fully trained.
- Empowering the people we support to manage budgets, pay bills, menu planning, shopping and support with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking in line with their therapy goals set by the therapy team.
- Assisting with personal care (Depending on service user)
- Supporting our service users to follow their tailored programme of therapies set by our Physiotherapist, Speech and Language Therapist and Occupational Therapist.
Experience within the care sector is not essential as we offer full training, however what you do need is the enthusiasm and commitment to live our company values every day to ensure we move mountains to support people to live happy and healthy lives.
