JOB ROLE: Waking Night Support Worker

LOCATION: Fairford Court, Friern Barnet (N11)

SALARY: £12.60- £13.30* per hour

HOURS: 35 hours a week

SHIFTS: 8pm - 8am & 9pm - 9am

About Fairford Court

We are a residential service that supports up to 8 people with Autism and/or Asperger’s Syndrome.

We provide Person Centred Care for individuals to build their independent daily living skills to manage moving on to supported living. This includes cooking, daily tasks and community access and voluntary work placements for those seeking the skills to get back into employment but also supporting individuals to understand and positively manage day to day stresses and anxiety

We use Autism Profiles to fully understand a person’s autism affects on socialisation, behaviours and routines, communication methods, sensory sensitivities, and interests. This helps us tailor a unique support plan that is person centred and also built upon by the individual living at Fairford Court during their journey with us towards further independence.

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including:

• Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
• Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
• Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
• Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
• Assisting with personal care as required.
• Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
• Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.

Experience within the care sector is not needed as we offer full training, coaching and development
