JOB ROLE: Waking Night Support Worker

LOCATION: Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset (TA8)

SALARY: £13.20 - £13.90* per hour

We are seeking both Full Time Support Workers (part time & bank hours may be considered) to join our wonderful team at The Lighthouse! We have a variety of shift patterns that we can offer and can look at flexibility provided it meets the needs of the people we support.

 

About The Lighthouse:

At The Lighthouse we support nine people with Mental Health needs or whom may have a dual diagnosis. We work with people with varied abilities to reach their full potential. We enable people to develop their skills, strengths, and resilience. We help them to develop their own set of resources to self-manage and stay well. We provide people with the right support to assist them in developing coping techniques which can make a noticeable difference in their everyday lives. We understand that everyone is an individual and their needs may vary, but whatever the persons situation or however complex their needs are, we will encourage, support, and motivate them to achieve their optimum level of independence & life goals!

 

As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including:

  • Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
  • Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care as required.
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
  • Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.

Experience within the care sector is not essential as we offer full training, however what you do need is the enthusiasm and commitment to live our company values every day to ensure we move mountains to support people to live happy and healthy lives.
