Waking Night Support Worker - The Willows (SA10)

JOB ROLE: Waking Night Support Worker

LOCATION: The Willows, Bryncoch (SA10)

SALARY: £12.60 - £13.30* per hour  (This rate is effective as of 1st April - if you start prior to this date, your hourly rate will be £12.00 - £12.70 and will be automatically uplifted on 1st April)

SHIFTS: 20:30-08:00AM

About The Willows:

The Willows is a spacious and calm environment equipped to support up to eight individuals with a range of different needs. We support individuals with acquired brain injury, learning disabilities, personality disorder, dementia, epilepsy, diabetes, depression, visual impairment, lymphedema, mental health needs, and alcohol dependency.  

Transport Links –  The willows is situated opposite a bus stop where buses the bus runs every hour into the centre neath and surrounding areas. We also have a house car which we use to take the PWS out. 

 

As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including:

  • Prompting service users independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying service users to routine appointments or administrating medication
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping
  • Assisting with personal care (Depending on service user)
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking

Experience within the care sector is not essential as we offer full training, however what you do need is the enthusiasm and commitment to live our company values every day to ensure we move mountains to support people to live happy and healthy lives.
