Support Worker - Pinetrees (NN5)

JOB ROLE: Support Worker

LOCATION: Northampton, NN5

SALARY: £13.45 - £14.05* per hour

HOURS: 34.5 hours per week

REQUIREMENTS: Please note, candidates must be able to complete moving and handling.

 

About Pinetrees:

Pinetrees is a residential service that supports up to 6 people with Autism and Learning Disabilities. Our aim is to maximise a person’s independence in a comfortable environment, helping them to reach their personal goals and aspirations.

Pinetrees has four en-suite rooms and two studio apartments. On the first floor there is a communal lounge, kitchen dining area. The studio apartments offer a pathway to the people we support, who develop the confidence to live more independently. The studio apartment allows the people we support to be independent, with access to staff support.

Pinetrees is situated in Northampton, which has easy access to lots of the local amenities. There are local shops, pubs and restaurants, a leisure centre and cinema.


 

As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day-to-day support and routine of the people within the service including:

  • Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
  • Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care as required.
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
  • Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
