Wake Night Support Worker - Ferndown (BH22)

JOB ROLE: Female Wake Night Support Worker

LOCATION: Church Road, Ferndown (BH22)

SALARY: £14.05 - £14.75* per hour 

HOURS: 35 hours per week

REQUIREMENTS: Full UK Driving License - essential

Please note we require a Female Support Worker over the age of 18 due to a genuine occupational requirement for the people we are supporting making this position exempt from the gender discrimination rule.


About Church Road:

Church Road recently opened in Ferndown. At Church Road we provide accommodation and support for up to 8 adults with Acquired Brain Injuries or Neurological Conditions.

We will also work closely with people placed on Rehabilitation focused placements supported by Neuro therapists; Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy and Neuro Psychology, to aid people in their recoveries. 

Our multidisciplinary team will undertake a thorough assessment prior to any admission, working closely with the individual, their family, carers and other health care professionals to identify their goals and aspirations and create an individually tailored support plan.


As a Wake Night Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the individuals during the night to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Providing support when needed, including assisting with night-time care routines.
  • Responding to emergencies or incidents that may arise during the night.
  • Maintaining a calm and secure environment, helping to create a peaceful atmosphere for the individuals.
  • Assisting with light domestic tasks as required, such as tidying and cleaning communal areas.
  • Recording incidents or changes in the individuals' condition and ensuring accurate documentation is kept.
  • Working independently throughout the night, maintaining vigilance and attention to detail.

This role requires a calm, reliable, and responsible individual who can work effectively overnight to provide high-quality care and support.
